Color & Natural Appearance

Will my scalp look fake under sunlight?

SMP does not necessarily look fake in sunlight, but natural light can make skin, pigment, and existing hair appear different from indoor lighting. Contrast and scalp shine may change what you notice. Evaluate healed results under more than one lighting condition rather than relying on a single image. Separately, ultraviolet exposure can fade some tattoo pigments over time. After healing, sun protection matters; follow your existing aftercare instructions rather than introducing an unapproved routine during healing.

What You Should Know

  • An immediate lighting difference is not the same as pigment fading over time.
  • Scalp shine can influence the overall visual impression without proving a pigment defect.
  • Multiple lighting views are useful practical checks, not a research-established photography standard.

When to Seek Professional Advice

Ask to discuss healed appearance in daylight as well as indoors, and confirm how your existing aftercare transitions to sun protection after healing.
